Afternoon in Cumberland Basin c.1904 Pastel 11” X 15” In Private Collection When I first came to live in Bristol in 1969 ships were still delivering cargoes into the heart of the city. It was one of my greatest delights to be able to sketch them around the docks. Sadly all commercial activity ceased in the late 1980s when the sand dredgers moved to Avonmouth | Moonlight in the Grove c.1904 Pastel 11” X 15” In Private Collection Few cities are lucky enough to have a harbour that extends right through the city centre.
