My son, Adam, died unexpectedly in May 2003. This sketch was used for the Order of Service at his funeral as we had almost no photographs of him in which he was being serious.

Cleo

Cleo was Adam’s dog. Since he died she now lives with us. She is a Newfoundland, weighing in at nine stones, and quite the most loveable creature in the world. I had never sketched a dog before and found that photographs of a black dog are all but useless as reference.
